Can you replace a Burwood shopfront overnight so we can open in the morning?

Usually, yes. We make the shopfront safe as soon as we arrive, then schedule the replacement for after close. If the pane has to be ordered to size we keep the board-up secure until it lands, then fit it outside trading hours.

Do you do balcony balustrade glass in the Burwood apartment towers?

Yes. Balustrade panels must be Grade A safety glass and are made to order for the specific opening and fixings. We make the balcony safe straight away, measure the panel and the brackets, and install the replacement once it arrives. We can liaise with your building manager for access and loading dock bookings.

Glass repair in Burwood

Burwood is really three jobs in one suburb. Burwood Road and the Westfield surrounds are one of Sydney's busiest suburban retail strips, so shopfront work here is large toughened panes and automatic entry doors, almost always made to order, where the priority is a same-night board-up so the shop opens on time. The towers that have gone up around the station bring frameless balcony balustrades and floor-to-ceiling glazing that must be Grade A safety glass under AS 1288 and match the existing interlayer tint so the facade stays uniform. Away from the centre it is period homes and older three-storey brick flats with timber sashes and leadlight.

The Burwood Road strip trades seven days and well into the evening, so shopfront replacements are usually booked as overnight jobs between close and open. Loading access around Westfield is tight, which we plan for rather than discovering on arrival with a full sheet of glass.
